Is Michigan Attorney Christopher LaVasseur Going To Face The Wrath Of The Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission?

Last week, we wrote about how Michigan Attorney Christopher LaVasseur helped a client draft a fraudulent affidavit.
What would possess LaVasseur to act so unethically like this is beyond belief. Did he think he could get away with it? Is he morally bankrupt? Who knows. Yet, the evidence shows that he did help manufacture and hide evidence.
The evidence also shows he conspired with attorneys, Stephen McKenney and Kenneth Neuman from Altior Law. The three attorneys conspired to manufacture evidence for their star witness in the case Patrick Depa. You can read about that in detail in the articles below.
Unfortunarely for LaVasseur, he is more than likely heading into a showdown with the Michigan Attorney Greivance Commission. The draft bar complaint details LaVasseur’s unethical behavior throughout the Lamar/International Outdoor litigation.
Christopher LeVasseur’s client, Patrick Depa testified in a hearing that he did not author the fraudulent affidavit. He stated he just signed it. In addition, he claimed LeVasseur drafted it with the deceptive content.
Patrick Depa Could Face Prison Time While The Three Attorneys Could Get A Slap On The Wrist
Depa could be facing 15 years in state prison for perjury under MCL 750.422 and MCL 750.423. Why? Well, he attested that all the information in the affidavit was true when it was not. In other words, Depa will get the blunt of the punishment for commiting perjury.
Evidence also shows Levasseur conspired with McKenney and Neuman to intentionally mislead the court. The three lawyers concealed emails from the court that supported International Outdoor’s position in their lawsuit against Lamar Advertising.
These emails also show that LaVasseur again conspired with McKenney and Neuman to manufacture fake evidence. They create fake evidence claiming that International Outdoor employees tried to bully and intimidate Patrick Depa.
