The Story Behind Our Mission

Our work began in the aftermath of a legal battle involving International Outdoor Inc. and one of their competitors. International Oudoor secured a rightful jury verdict. However, the trial judge detrailed the case and the verdict.

International Outdoor discovered that the judge had an undisclosed conflict of interest with the opposing side’s witness. The witness had a well documented history of perjury and workplace misconduct. This case represents a “perfect storm” of systemic failure within Michigan’s court system. We came to realize that if it happened one company, it could happen to any citizen in Michigan.

Judicial Accountability:
We monitor the performance and ethical records of judges across Michigan, highlighting patterns of misconduct, bias, or abuse of discretion. Our work helps ensure that those who misuse their power face meaningful scrutiny in the court of public opinion.

Advocacy for Reform:
We collaborate with civil rights organizations, including the NAACP and the Arab American Civil Rights League, to advocate for systemic change. Together, we urge the Michigan Supreme Court to review cases where due process may have been denied. We would also like them to implement reforms that protect every resident’s due process rights.
