Feds Bust 36th District Court Judge Andrea Bradley-Baskin For Stealing From The County’s Most Vulnerable People

Federal prosecutors in Detroit have charged 36th District Judge Andrea Bradley-Baskin for embezzlement. Authorities allege Bradley-Baskin and three others ran a years-long embezzlement scheme to steal $750,000 from vulnerable people. These vulnerable people were wards of the county who need guardians and conservators to handle their finances.
The feds allege that the scheme involved:
- 36th District Judge Andrea Bradley-Baskin. County records show the state of Michigan suspended Bradley-Baskin from her job.
- Nancy Williams. Williams owned Guardian and Associates. Wayne County Probate Court contracts Gaurdian to help appoint guardians and conservators.
- Brady-Baskin’s father. Avery Bradley is an attorney who operated a law firm with Bradley-Baskin. The law firm represented Guardian and Associates in probate court.
- Dwight Rashad. Rashad operated group homes and facilities for elderly and vulnerable people.
